Jimmy grew up in Zion, attended Henderson County High School and graduated in 1958. He is married to Becky, has a son and daughter, Drew and Jamie. He has lived in Owensboro since his his marriage in 1974. He taught school in Owensboro city system for 31 years (Industrial Arts). Jimmy attended the Golden Reunion.
