Dexter Ray Lewis Sr., 69, Henderson, died at 8:32 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Methodist Hospital. He had attended First Baptist Church in Sebree. He was preceded in death by his son, Ray Lewis, who died Jan. 19, 2009. Survivors include the mother of his children, Shirley Bloyd of Henderson; one daughter, Lisa Barron of Dixon; one son, Troy Lewis of Henderson; two sisters, Sheila Denton of Henderson and Wilma Dodd of Cave Creek, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Benton-Glunt Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. |
