Jimmy's Drive In

Want to go back to the fifties and pull up to Jimmy's Drive-In to order a cheeseburger for 25 cents and a milk shake for 19 cents? Not only that, but a waitress (or is that a "car hop") will bring it out to you. If you'd like a fountain Coke or Pepsi with that, you'll have to fork over an additional dime. (Save a nickle for a tip!)

Maybe you had rather go inside and order a ROAST BEEF DINNER with two vegetables, salad, hot rolls and drink for 65 cents.

Of course, to drive to Jimmy's, you would have to put gasoline in your car for, say 18 cents a gallon. If everybody pitched in some change, we could get home on a quarter's worth. Wouldn't even have to get out of the car to pump the gas. Even got our windshield washed and tires checked, too!
