After college, I had several jobs in accounting. Finally landed at Garden Park Hospital as an accountant for 24 years. Been retired 5 years now. I have 3 children, Cynthia Ann, William M. and Duane Nicholas. Nine grandchildren: Melissa, Mandy, Thomas; Chris, Christopher, Bean; My husband, Art Carter and I have been married 48 years. We have a camper and have traveled all around the country spending months at a time on the road. We will probably continue to do this as long as our health holds out. I like to read and do needlework. We are active in church. I have lived in Hendeson (KY), Mobile, Alabama; Gulfport, MS and now Saucier, MS. THE FOLLOWING IS FROM THE 25th REUNION IN 1983 Children: Cynthia, 21; Billy, 20 and Nicky 10 I have been an accountant for Garden Park Hospital for over five years. Arthur is a lieutenant on the Gulfport Fire Department and owns a carpet installation business. Arthur is a deacon and we are very involved in Pass Road Baptist Church. He also plays on the softball team and we attend all the games. I am a Vice President of the Mississippi Fire Fighters Wives Auxiliary and we are getting ready for a state wide convention. I am also involved with the Gulf Coast Needle Craft Guild and have taken a lot of classes and attended lots of seminars on all kinds of needlework. Our youngest son is into Karate and we do some traveling to take him to tournaments. We have lived in Gulfport for 18 years and love it. The beach is two miles from our house and in the summer we spend as much time there as possible. We have a fishing camp on the Pascagoula River and can't get over there nearly as often as we would like. Because of my job and Arthur's, we will not be able to come to Kentucky in August, but I would love to know what's happening to everybody else. |
