Carl D. Amiet Born on April 14, 1940 in Geneva, KY. My father was Carl K. Amiet so I chose "Don" to be called.

Raised to be a mechanic in my father's garage in Geneva, KY.

Grades 1,2,&3 at Geneva one room grade school (One teacher for 3 grades).
Grades 4 through 8 at Smith Mills School New in 1954.
Christian, saved at 10 years old at Geneva Baptist Church.
Grades 9 through 12 at Henderson County High New in 1958.
Attended Teletronic Technical School in Evansville, IN for 18 months.

Drafted by Army but Joined USAF in February, 1962 with Doug Smithhart. Attended USAF Electronic school in Biloxi, Miss. 1 year.

Married Sharon F. Mays on Jan. 19, 1963 on 30 day leave.

USAF stationed in Adana, Turkey 1 year. (Sharon finished High School)
USAF stationed at West Over, Mass. 2 years.
Discharged USAF February, 1966

1966 August Hired by Schlumberger Well Services in Evansville, IN.

1968 Sherry was born August with Spinal defect. Moved to Huntington, WV, then to Parkersburg, WV when we lost our daughter Sherry at 4 1/2 years old after 18 surgeries.
Applied for adoption and was told it would be a 3 years wait but due to hospital doctors they called us in three weeks to pick up our son.

Adopted Todd D. Amiet in 1974 and moved to Wooster, Ohio for 15 years.

John P Amiet was born in 1976 with no problems (two sons now).

At 20 years at Schlumberger Well Services, transferred to Bridgeport, WV. Retired at 55 on Jan. 31, 1995 from Schlumberger. Hired as Electronic Consultant by Schlumberger for 4-1/2 years to keep me from competitor

Moved to Charleston, SC in 1999 to retire near the ocean.

Todd married Amy and they have Gabriella (9 years.) and Kelsea (almost 4 years.) live in Hopewell, NJ. ( 2008)

Worked for National Linen three years.

I have had 4 spinal surgeries since moving to Charleston, SC.

Moved back to Henderson, KY. To help with Sharon's mother in December. 2004. In April, I could not walk due to arthritis squeezing spinal cord and in May 2007 had 5th. Thoracic Spinal surgery. Now able to walk normal and no pain. Thank the Lord!

John Amiet met Brianne and moved to Baltimore, MD. Waiting on Marriage date!

Sharon and I have been married 45 years this January 19th, 2008.
